  • Dr. Chang Family Dental Practice: Seeking pre-dental students.
      • “We are a small family dental practice in Raleigh near North Hills Mall, and are looking for someone who has great interpersonal skills and a positive attitude to help us care for our patients. In the past three years, we have had two pre-dental students working at the front desk at separate times, and they both had to leave the position because they got into dental school. It is a good opportunity to learn more about the administrative part of a dental office, and whenever possible, I encourage shadowing clinically as well.Hours would be Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and the 2nd Monday of each month from 8 AM to 5 PM.

  • Cary Pediatric Dentistry: Looking for a paid sterilization intern to work throughout the year.
      • We are searching for a paid sterilization intern in our office starting now through the end of the year.  We are looking for an intern that will work in our clinical area and sterilization.  They must be a Senior or in their gap year for dental school.  The responsibilities include sterilizing instruments, preparing toothbrush bags, stocking rooms & putting away supplies, cleaning dental chairs after each patient, etc..We can be flexible on hours worked if needed.  If you have anyone that may be interested please have them send me their resume and weekly availability to carypediatricdentistrypa@gmail.com.”
  • SHAC Dental Clinic Volunteering:
  • Surgical Assistant Position at Triangle Implant Center – Mebane, NC:
      • “TiC is a high-volume oral and maxillofacial surgery center. The externship program is in its 13th year, and has had great success in launching students to their desired health care professional schools. This opportunity affords great hands-on experience directly with oral surgeons, anesthesiologists, and patients, providing a fantastic opportunity for pre-health professional students seeking in-depth clinical exposure.  Looking for full day availability 8am-4pm, at least two days per week.”
  • UNC Orofacial Pain Clinic with Dr. Pei Feng Lim

  • Morgenstern Orthodontics in Chapel Hill with Dr. Morgenstern

      • “Morgenstern Orthodontics has a position available for a pre-dental student who wants to gain experience working in the dental field. This externship has a minimum commitment of 1 year. Extern will work 3-4 days per week (approximately 24-32 hours per week) and will be compensated as an employee.

        We are a small, growing office and extern will be an integral part of the team during their time at the office. Extern must be a self-starter, willing to hustle and work hard to provide our patients with excellent customer service and care, have a positive attitude, good bedside manner and communication.
